What does community mean to you?

Community is built when its citizens connect regularly and do things together.  Small, simple acts by many, add up to big results.  The more we do with and for each other, the more trust and results we get.  We all have different passions, interests, and talents; how can we use those to benefit Boulevard Lane?

What would you like our community to be?  What does it mean to you?  What are you willing to do to increase our sense of community, to take pride in showing your neighborhood to friends and family, and to make an impact in our city?

Leave your feedback here.  We want to hear from you!

Football Season is here! Are you in?

It is the time of year that football fans look forward to as soon as Super Bowl is over.  And around here, Seahawk fans are pretty fanatical!  Bring on your spirit!  Hang your flag and decorate your windows. The hawk patrol is out and about this time of year and you might score yourself some free game day tickets!  I know of one of our Boulevard Lane neighbors who were honored with this last season.  And I was completely jealous:)

If Seahawks aren't your first love, who is your favorite team and why?  What is your favorite game day recipe?  Feel free to share it if you would like!  I'm always looking for additional recipes to add to our collection.

September/October Crier is ready!

If you haven't checked it out yet, be sure to read our recent edition of the Crier!  It is posted to our website and for those who receive it directly to your email, the Constant Contact email went out this week.  Here is the link to the website:  http://www.boulevardlane.org/criers/Sep-Oct%202017.pdf

We are all looking for fun things to do as the fall begins to set in.  What are your favorite fall activities?

History of Labor Day

Labor Day: What it Means

Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

The true founder of Labor Day is in question, but its beginning dates back to 1882 and was first celebrated in New York City on September 5th.
Interested in additional history?  Click here https://www.dol.gov/general/laborday/history for an article by the United States Department of Labor.
Celebrate and reflect on the hard work of each American worker who has helped shape our country's strength and prosperity.
